What is SignumEra?

SignumEra is a Second Generation Digital Signing Protocol for serious agreements. Instead of simply sending a document for signature, SignumEra creates a verified execution room around the agreement, helping manage identity, document version, signing order, witness requirements, finalization, and evidence packaging.

How is SignumEra different from ordinary e-signature tools?

Traditional e-signature tools are usually built around envelopes: send a document, collect signatures, and keep an audit trail. SignumEra is built around execution rooms. The agreement is prepared, verified, controlled, finalized, and packaged with evidence.

What does Second Generation Digital Signing Protocol mean?

First-generation digital signing made electronic signatures mainstream. Second-generation digital signing focuses on the full execution process: who signed, whether they were verified, which document version was used, whether signing order was followed, whether witness conditions were satisfied, who finalized the agreement, and what evidence exists afterward.

Does everyone need KYC or KYB before signing?

Yes. SignumEra is built around verified participation. Individuals may complete KYC, and businesses complete KYB. The goal is to reduce anonymous signing and create a stronger trust layer for serious agreements.

What is KYB?

KYB means Know Your Business. It is a business verification process used to confirm that a business exists and can be associated with a verified account or representative.

How much does business KYB cost?

Business KYB is planned at $20 per year. During beta, SignumEra may offer free business onboarding for a limited time. Projected beta testing begins June 1, 2026.

How can SignumEra offer this much at a low price?

SignumEra is designed to stay focused. It does not try to replace Microsoft 365 as your document storage system. Your documents can stay in OneDrive or SharePoint. SignumEra adds the execution layer: verification, signing policy, witness-ready rooms, finalization, and evidence packaging. That keeps the core service efficient while charging for the parts that create real value.

Is SignumEra free?

No. SignumEra should not be described as free forever. SignumEra is built on verified access. Businesses complete KYB annually, and individuals may complete KYC before signing. During beta, business onboarding may be free for a limited time. Projected beta testing begins June 1, 2026.

Does SignumEra work with Microsoft 365?

Yes. SignumEra is designed to be Microsoft-native. Documents can be selected from OneDrive or SharePoint, and Teams can be used as a coordination surface for live signing activity. SignumEra remains the authority for execution policy, signing events, finalization, and evidence.

Does SignumEra store my documents?

SignumEra is not designed to be another general document warehouse. The preferred model is to work with documents from your Microsoft environment, such as OneDrive or SharePoint. At preparation, SignumEra freezes the selected document revision for execution. After finalization, the finalized PDF and evidence package can be written back to Microsoft storage.

What is an execution room?

An execution room is the controlled signing session for an agreement. It brings together the prepared document, recipients, roles, signing order, verification requirements, witness conditions, signing activity, and finalization.

What is an evidence package?

An evidence package is the post-execution record created after finalization. It may include the finalized PDF, ceremony manifest, audit events, verification summaries, document hashes, and supporting ceremony artifacts.

Can SignumEra support witnesses?

Yes. If a document includes a witness role, SignumEra can require a live signing ceremony where required parties are present before execution proceeds.

When does beta testing begin?

Projected beta testing begins June 1, 2026. Beta timing may change as the product is hardened, but the website and app workflow should make it clear that onboarding and pricing are handled inside the SignumEra app.

Is SignumEra legal advice?

No. SignumEra provides tools for verified digital signing, execution workflows, and evidence packaging. It does not provide legal advice. Users should consult qualified legal counsel for questions about legal requirements in their jurisdiction.
